“It’s Garden Time” As Ireland’s Top Gardeners Kick Start The Season
Two of Ireland’s top gardeners, Helen Dillon and Gerry Daly, joined forces with Minister for Food and Horticulture, Trevor Sargent T.D., today (Tuesday, 10th March 2009) to launch Bord Bia’s national initiative “It’s Garden Time” at Dublin’s Botanic Gardens. The campaign, which sees the start of the gardening season in Ireland, is aimed at encouraging the general public to get back out into their gardens and highlight the benefits associated with healthy gardening.
On the March 13th Late Late Show Pat Kenny gave each member of the audience a magnificent gardening basket.
