In its inaugural year, National Bramley Week will take place from 10th–16th November 2008. The week, organised by the Irish Apple Growers Association in conjunction with Bord Bia and Keelings, aims to raise consumer awareness of the delicious Bramley cooking apple and features versatile, quick and easy recipes, dispelling any myths that cooking apples are restricted to traditional recipes and granny’s apple pie! As the old saying goes ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away’ and the nutritional highlights of apples include fibre, flavonoids and a wide variety of strong antioxidants.
National Bramley Apple Week include a consumer information campaign and the mouth watering Bramley Apple recipe suggestions and information on this website.
