 Bacon and Leek with Pasta 

This must be the favourite high-speed dish. 

Serves 4 
Bacon and Leek with Pasta 
Ingredients
  • 15g butter 
  • 450g quality assured bacon, back or streaky, cut in thin strips
  • 2-3 leeks, cut in half, then cut in half lengthways, washed and cut in thin strips
  • 125ml cream or soured cream
  • 350g pasta i.e. tagliatelle
  • Black pepper

Method

Melt the butter in a pan and sauté the bacon and leeks together for about 5-6 minutes.  Add the cream, mix well and simmer for 2-3 minutes. 

In the meatime cook the pasta and drain. Add the bacon and leek mixture to the hot pasta and season with black pepper. Mix well and serve immediately.
