Celery was derived from a wild plant. The self-blanching type has taken over almost entirely from trench celery. Celery has a very strong distinctive flavour and aroma and may be eaten raw or cooked. It has a high water content and it a useful low calorie vegetable snack for slimmers.

How to Store
Store in cool dry place.
How to Cook
Can be boiled, steamed or used in a stir fry. Also can be eaten raw in a salad (chopped) or with dips.
