Its back and its bigger and better than ever before – The Bloom garden festival returns to the Phoenix Park for the sixth year from the 31st May to the 4th June for what will prove to be one of the biggest national events of the year. Some 90,000 visitors enjoyed the experience that is Bloom last year and expectations are high that this attendance will be exceeded in 2012.
While the 27 show gardens are the centre piece of the event the impressive food village provides an important showcase for artisan food and drink where businesses will display and sell a fabulous selection of artisan products. Along side this offering will be exhibits and opportunities to purchase quality produce from meat, fish and fresh produce businesses. Ireland’s favourite brands will be represented under the Love Irish Food Banner. The centre piece of the Food Village is a live stage where Ireland’s celebrity chefs will demonstrate and cook up a range of recipes with quality Irish ingredients that will satisfy all tastes. To top it all off a number of Ireland’s best artisan caterers will be on hand in the food village to provide visitors with a savoury and wholesome range of local artisan foods which can be enjoyed in the chill zone in the heart of the food village.
As if that isn’t enough Bloom 2012 will have a floral marquee with a fantastic display of plants & flowers; retail areas for gardening & lifestyle products; fine dining at the Bloom Bistro, entertainment on the live stage, gardening talks; a craft retail village; Grow it Yourself demonstrations, a livestock display and much much more.
