This research is the second wave of a series looking at the attitudes and behaviour of Continental consumers. It is based on the PERIscope (Purchasing and Eating in the Republic of Ireland) series that focuses on the domestic market and compares consumers in the Republic to those in Northern Ireland and Britain. It differs in that it makes use of more economical web surveys in the different countries, but we would believe it is no less representative for that. The fieldwork was conducted in May/June of 2008 in five markets – France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden.
