The Just Ask restaurant of the month for December goes to An Port Mór, Westport, Co. Mayo

"As a Euro-toques member, I am committed to sourcing locally and supporting small food producers wherever possible.  We are proud to highlight our suppliers on our menu – local butchers McCormack’s of Westport, Kelly’s of Newport and McHale Meats of Kiltimagh supply our fresh meat and Irish, cornfed chicken.  We source local lamb from Mark Walsh of Direct Lamb Westport, along with Calveys Butchers of Achill Island who supply us with their famous Mayo blackface lamb.  Seafood suppliers include Joe Garvin (Clew bay crabs & scallops and Inisturk lobster); Padraig Gannon (Newport Mussels) and Gerry Hasset (Achill Smoked Organic Salmon).  Duck is supplied by both Skeaghanore Duck, West Cork and Thornhill Duck, Blacklion, Co Cavan.  Farmhouse cheeses featured on the menu include Carrowholly of Westport, along with Silke Cropp’s famous Corleggy Goats Cheese from Co. Cavan”.
