The Just Ask restaurant of the month for February goes to Sash Restaurant at No. 1 Pery Square, Limerick, Co. Limerick.
“The cooking at Sash is ‘proper food’ based on our Kitchen Garden’s own seasonal produce, as available, and fresh ingredients sourced from the best local suppliers: beef is supplied from farmers in Limerick and Clare and butchered locally by Pat O’Connor and Michael O’Loughlin; Michael also supplies us with our ham and pork from Staunton’s of Timoleague, Co. Cork and our Irish chicken is supplied by Western Brand in Co. Mayo. Fish and seafood come from several specialist suppliers including René Cusack fishmongers in Limerick, Star Seafoods in Kerry and Atlantis Seafoods in Kilmore Quay. Cheeses are sourced from The Little Milk Co. and La Rousse Foods and fresh produce is supplied by David Kearney wholesaler along with organic leaves from Emer O’Flaherty’s walled garden at Springfield Castle, Broadford, Co. Limerick. We use our menus and our website to introduce our valued suppliers to our customers”.
