Case study of the creation and design of the Roots & Shoots brand, winner of the Irish Design Effectiveness Awards 2007. Taravale Foods worked with Neworld Associates to create the Roots & Shoots brand.
Pat Kinsley: After graduating from the New York School of Visual Arts, Pat moved to Dublin where he was one of the founding partners of Neworld Associates, one of Ireland's leading brand building consultancies. He has spend the past 22 years extolling the benefits of branding as a commercial device that improves every company's bottom line.
The "man in black" is an active member in the GDBA, IDI, ICAD and a director of the promotional initiative Design Ireland. Pat speaks regularly for the Design Management Institute (DMI) and at other international conferences.

Joe O'Regan: Is a native of Listowel, Co Kerry. He joined Taravale in 2004 as General Manager. Prior to that, he had been with the Kerry Group for over 10 years in financial positions across the Agribusiness, Foods and Ingredients Divisions in Ireland, UK, Australia and the US.
Taravale employ 100 people at two sites in Naas and Killeshandra. They company manufactures salads, sandwiches and other ready to eat foods. Up to 2006, they only manufactured private label. Roots & Shoots was launched in June 2006.
