At this event we will be have the following speakers each giving their opinions from a retailer, trade and consumer point of view respectively and providing insights on how you need to keep your brand relevant in today’s every changing environment
Helen King will present an updated “Feeling the Pinch” research. This will provide insights into the changing needs of consumers in the Irish and Great Britain marketplace in light of the current economic crisis. Rising anxiety has lead consumers to view the marketplace in new ways, demanding ever greater value. As the crisis deepens new concerns emerge and behaviours become more entrenched.
Eoin McGettigan is one of the most experienced retail executives in Ireland and the UK. With 10 years at CEO level, he has been on the boards of retailers including Musgrave, Dunnes, Budgens and the Co-Op, with previous positions including MD, Musgrave SuperValu Centra, Excutive Chairman, Musgrave UK, Finance Director, Dunnes Stores and Chief Executive, Lifestyle Sports.
Francis Killeen worked with Cadburys Ireland across all areas before joining Chivers in a marketing and sales capacity. He was involved in the team that carried out the MBO of Chivers Ireland from Premier Foods UK. In 2007 the business was sold back to Premier Foods UK and Premier Foods Ireland was created which incorporated RHM, Campbells/Erin and Chivers. Francis has been the Industry Chairman of the Food Product Development Centre for a number of years and is currently the Trade Consultant with “Love Irish Food”.
