Tetra Pak launches new green features
Following the successful launch of the Tetra Ever Aseptic, the world’s first aseptic carton bottle for white milk, Tetra Pak has pioneered another industry first by developing the additional functionality of a separable top. The Tetra Ever Aseptic Separable Top has a perforation in the cardboard which allows the separating of a polyethylene top from the carton sleeve, delivering improved environmental characteristics by making it easy for consumers to separate the top and carton sleeve and recycle them separately.
Sidle introduces innovative stackable bottle concept
Stack & Pack from Sidle is a new stackable bottle concept designed to better meet the needs of customers for sustainability and reduced cost. Suitable for all kinds of non-carbonated liquid products – especially sensitive products – Stack & Pack bottles are promoted as being highly practical and functional and require absolutely no cardboard sheets in between layers on a pallet.
Ball introduces sustainability breakthrough for aerosols
Ball Corporation announced a metal technology breakthrough that enables the use of recycled aluminum in the manufacture of light weighting extruded aluminum packaging for aerosols. The Real brand slugs will improve the carbon footprint and will bring additional value to the supply chain by adding recycled aluminum from Ball’s beverage can plants into the slug manufacturing processes.
Coca Cola partners with Gautier on limited edition design
Coca Cola has brand appointed a world-celebrated fashion designer as the new Diet Coke Creative Director for 2012. Jean Paul Gautier has combined his unique signature style and his fun light-hearted attitude to create “the must-have fashion accessory of 2012.” The collection themed “Night & Day,” pays homage to Gautier’s infamous designs. The “Night” bottle has a sexy Rock Chick edge with a corset style reminiscent of Jean Paul Gautier’s catwalk shows and iconic cone bra design. The “Day” bottle is inspired by Jean Paul Gautier’s signature Breton stripes and captures his fun attitude.
Fruit for schools packed in compostable film
Inn via Films’ compostable, cellulose-based material, Nature Flex NVS, is helping to spread the healthy eating message in Italian schools. The EU funded “Frusta knelled Suckle” (School Fruit Scheme) ensures children aged 6-11 years old are given individually wrapped portions of fresh organic fruit to enjoy during the school day. The film has excellent environmental attributes such as being compostable and made from renewable resources.
Ferrari creates Euro themed rattle for Tic Tac Chika
Just in time for the 2012 European Championship, the attractive promotional packaging, implemented in cooperation with the STI Group, is available for a limited time in a limited edition since mid-April. Every fan rattle contains two 18-gram packages of tic tacs, one mint and one orange. The new fan articles are available in two different designs: with typical football illustrations and in black-red-gold colours for Germany fans.
