Eligibility for Bord Bia support

Bord Bia works with Irish food, drink and horticulture businesses to help bring Ireland’s food, drink and horticulture to the world.

The criteria below help us understand where Bord Bia can add the most value, ensuring that we direct you to the support and services that best match the needs of your business.

In order to become our client, you must meet the following criteria:

1. You must be generating a turnover exceeding €500,000 from selling through third parties i.e. retailers, foodservice operators, other manufacturing companies.

2. Your product must be manufactured in the Republic of Ireland.

3. Your production process should deliver a substantial change and should add value to the final product. The manufacturing processes must transform the essential character of the goods, from raw materials into finished consumable products.

If your business does not meet these criteria at this time, there may still be other Irish State supports that are better suited to your current needs.
