What is behind the Bord Bia Quality Mark
Around 50,000 farmers and over 100 meat processors are accredited to the Bord Bia Quality Assurance Schemes. Our logo means that the food you buy has been produced and processed by members of our schemes they are audited on a continuous basis on farm right through to the final processing & packing. The Quality Mark can be used on red meat, poultry, eggs, fruit/vegetables and plants.

Where can you find the Quality Mark?
You will find the Quality Mark on a wide range of foods including bacon, beef, chicken, duck, lamb, pork, turkey, eggs, pre-packaged meals containing meat; fruit and vegetables.
Rules of Use
The Bord Bia logos supports the certified members of our schemes. It tells you that the products you buy have been produced and processed by our farmers and meat processors. The products are safe, traceable and in most cases reared on family farms with consideration for the environment.

A Quality Assurance Scheme, for a food product, is a programme whereby the food is produced to a set of standards (rules) and the producer/processor is inspected (audited) to ensure that production is in accordance with those standards.
