Bord Bia offers 70 International Food & Drink Industry Scholarship Opportunities

Bord Bia and UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School are now seeking applications from recent and experienced graduates from all disciplines/roles to join one of four scholarship programmes. The aim is to attract and develop leadership talent for the Irish agri-food sector. The closing date for applications is 29th March 2019 and programmes start in June.

Successful applicants will undertake in-market projects for selected food and drink companies in one of 15 key international locations while working towards a UCD Smurfit School MSc in Marketing Practice.

Benefits include a substantial tax-free bursary, full tuition fees paid, and access to educators from the world’s leading business schools including Harvard, IMD Business, NYU Stern School of Business and UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Professor Damien McLoughlin, UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, said, “This is the 10th year of the highly successful Bord Bia scholarships. The programmes provide a unique learning opportunity in which academic attainment and business experience support each other mutually. Action learning assignments are blended with block-release academic and business education and training modules. Participants gain from the strong emphasis on professional and career development. Most are now in excellent roles in the Irish food sector.”
