In 2024, Newgrange Gold successfully maintained 100% sourcing of rapeseed with Irish Grain Assurance Scheme (IGAS) certification, meeting its milestone target and reinforcing its commitment to responsible sourcing.

Progress was made across all planned initiatives supporting this target. A key focus was working closely with their main supply farm, Hobsons, to ensure alignment with regenerative farming principles. As part of this collaboration, Hobsons provided documentation demonstrating the use of minimum tillage techniques, diverse crop rotation, cover cropping, and reduced reliance on artificial fertilisers.

These practices not only support soil health and biodiversity but also contribute to the long-term sustainability of the raw materials used in Newgrange Gold’s premium culinary oils. By encouraging and verifying such methods, the company is actively supporting the transition to more regenerative agriculture within its supply chain.

Newgrange Gold has also outlined the ongoing efforts required to maintain this high standard. Ensuring 100% certified sourcing involves continuous engagement with suppliers, regular documentation reviews, and a shared commitment to sustainable farming. The company recognises that maintaining this level of certification is an active process that requires vigilance and collaboration.
