In 2024, the company halved its general waste per unit of output, decreasing from 0.02 kg/kg in 2023 to 0.01 kg/kg, surpassing its milestone target of 0.02 kg/kg. This achievement reflects a strong focus on operational efficiency and waste minimisation.
In response to previous recommendations, SynerChi Kombucha has reprojected its waste target to aim for and maintain an 80% reduction in general waste by the end of its current Origin Green sustainability plan. This ambitious goal demonstrates the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and long-term environmental responsibility.
Progress has been made across several key initiatives. Firstly, employee awareness around waste reduction has been enhanced through internal engagement and training.
