Consultancy services for SMEs

Purpose of Scheme

The purpose of this scheme is to help improve the strategic capability of SMEs involved in the processing and marketing of agriculture products.

Who is eligible for the support?

The support is available to all SMEs companies engaged in the processing and marketing of agricultural products.
An SME (micro, small and medium) company is defined in Annex 1 of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 651/2014 (OJ L187 of 26.6.2014).
(A micro, small or medium-sized enterprise (‘SMEs’) is an enterprise which employs fewer than 250 persons and which has an annual turnover not exceeding EUR 50 million, and/or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding EUR 43 million.)

Type of Scheme /Level of Aid

This is not a grant scheme, rather aid at a maximum level of 50% of eligible costs is available to SMEs for eligible activities carried out for them by consultants. Activity must be pre-approved.

Eligible Projects

Support will be provided towards the costs of hiring consultants involved in the development of initiatives that provide strategic focus to the SME, which may include marketing activities such as packaging concept and design, e-marketing , gap analysis etc. in accordance with of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 651/2014 (OJ L187 of 26.6.2014).

Support is not available for funding towards the cost of consultants hired for a continuous or periodic activity or an activity relating to the undertaking's usual operating costs.
