In 2024, McCabe’s Coffee planted 3,120 trees and maintained two biodiversity initiatives, surpassing its milestone targets.

In 2024, McCabe’s Coffee significantly exceeded its biodiversity target by planting 3,120 trees, exceeding the milestone target by more than 100%. The tree planting was carried out in partnership with Tree-Nation, primarily in the Usambaru region of Tanzania. This initiative supports a range of environmental, social, and economic benefits, including biodiversity restoration, carbon sequestration, and improved livelihoods for local communities. By focusing on high-impact regions, McCabe’s Coffee ensures its efforts contribute meaningfully to global sustainability goals.

In 2024, McCabe’s Coffee developed a new partnership with Jacksmill Hub. Through this collaboration, the company supported the planting of over 1,080 trees and 6km of hedgerows and allotment borders. This initiative enhances local biodiversity and strengthens community engagement in environmental stewardship.

The company also maintained two biodiversity initiatives in 2024, meeting its milestone. These included a beach clean-up event and continued participation in the 1% for the Planet programme, through which McCabe’s Coffee donates 1% of its sales to environmental projects worldwide. These efforts reflect a holistic approach to biodiversity, combining global impact with local action.
