First, they have to meet standards such as: what they produce has to be traceable; they have to be kind to the environment; and the animals must be well treated. Second, farmers and producers have to be independently audited to ensure they’re meeting these standards. The third stage is certification. Our experts come together to decide if the farmer/producer meets the standards and officially passes the audit. If they do, they are allowed use the Quality Mark on products, where relevant.
