Method
Copy Text1. Melt the butter in a wide pan over medium heat. Add the turnip slices, spreading them out in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
2. Add a splash or two of stock and cover the pan. Turn the heat down to medium-low and let the turnip slices steam for 4-5 minutes until tender.
3. Serve with mashed potato and some thick-cut rashers.
