Organic Irish Salmon

Ireland is proud to be the only producer of Organic Salmon in the EU with 100% of salmon from Ireland certified to strict organic standards.

A key requirement for organic certification is responsible feeding and diet. You can trust that all Irish Organic Salmon has been fed a diet of natural ingredients, free from GMOs with feed sourced from sustainable fisheries. In addition, fish welfare and health are a top priority with all Irish Organic Salmon living in a pure seawater environment where there is a ratio of 99% water to 1% salmon.

The farms take incredible care to produce quality fish with firm flesh built up through swimming in strong currents. They are also fed on a natural diet, allowing them to build up very high levels of Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Omega-3 and 6, so they make the ultimate nourishing and health-giving superfood.

Irelands Atlantic Coast provides the perfect conditions for the production of top quality organic salmon and Ireland is a proud world leader in organic salmon production.

Irish Salmon farmers benefit from Gulf Stream currents along with cold freshwater from Ireland’s vast network of rivers and streams which provide nutrient rich, cool, clear waters. Fresh waters and strong currents encourage sturdy growth and Irish organic salmon swim the equivalent of 13,000km over a period of approximately 18 months while growing to maturity. Ireland is proud to be the only producer of Organic Salmon in the EU with 100% of salmon from Ireland certified to strict organic standards.

Organic Irish Mussels

Irish Mussels are widely available, they are a quick, easy and healthy option any day of the week. Look out for fresh Irish Mussels from your local fishmonger or retailer and cooked/pre-packed mussels in retailers.

Mussels are rich in protein with a low calorie count. As an excellent source of iron, mussels are beneficial for growth and immunity. Mussels are particularly rich in vitamin B2 and B12.

Vitamin B12 plays a key role in the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system. Vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, is an easily absorbed micronutrient which is required for a variety of cellular processes and plays a key role in energy metabolism. Mussels also have excellent levels of sodium, potassium, iron and iodine.
