Mark's Triple Chocolate and Nut Brownies

These Triple Chocolate and Nut Brownies are delicious with Fresh Cream and Irish Strawberries!

Ingredients

  • 275g plain chocolate
  • 275g butter
  • 175g plain flour
  • 1 teasp. baking powder
  • 325g caster sugar
  • 4 large Quality Assured eggs, lightly beaten
  • 80g white chocolate, broken into chunks
  • 80g milk chocolate, broken into chunks
  • 80g toasted nuts (Hazelnuts, walnuts, pecan nuts)
  • Serve with Irish strawberries and cream

Pre heat oven to 180°C.

Line a shallow 8”x 10” baking tin with greaseproof paper.

Put the plain chocolate and butter in a bowl and melt over a saucepan of water.

Mix the flour and baking powder together.

Add the sugar to the melted chocolate and butter mixture, allow to cool slightly. Add the eggs to this mixture. Fold in the flour, in stages. Then fold in the chocolate chunks and nuts.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is baked but it remains gooey inside. Chill and serve with Irish Strawberries and lightly whipped cream.
