UK Border Operating Model - New Requirements January 2024 Recording & Presentation slides

The UK government published its Border Target Operating Model at the end of August 2023, which set out a new approach to security controls (applying to all imports), and sanitary and phytosanitary controls (applying to imports of live animals, animal products, plants and plants products) at the border. In line with this, UK import requirements for agri-food exports from Ireland will begin to apply from 31st January 2024.

This webinar outlines the new UK border requirements and provides guidance on how to determine the specific impacts by product. It outlines the impact for Ireland, and the practical steps that companies should take to prepare with their supply chain providers in advance of January next.

This webinar was hosted by Marian O’Higgins, PCF Manager UK & Head of Brexit Response, Bord Bia, Raphael Ryan, Assistant Principal, Revenue, Damien Flynn, Head of Brexit and International Trade Division, Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) and Lorcan Sheehan, CEO of PerformanSC.
