Chefs Unite for Ukraine

The teams at allta and Cloud Picker have organised a special fundraising dinner on Tuesday 8th March in allta Winter House, with a line up of chefs participating to help to raise funds for charities working to help Ukranians. Tickets to the evening cost €175 with tables limited to four and six people, and with 100% of the proceeds going straight to the chosen charities. Glovebox will be open for walk-ins, with all their proceeds on the evening also going to the charities. There will be live entertainment from Toby Hatchett and guest mixologists throughout the evening from all over Ireland, including the team from Bar 1661.

Dalata Hotel Group's 2021 revenues up 40%

Dalata Hotel Group said its revenues rose for the year to the end of December while its losses narrowed as most Covid-19 restrictions on the hospitality sector ended in the middle of the year. Revenues at the country's biggest hotel group rose by 40.3% to €192m from €136.8m in 2020. The company reported a pre-tax loss of €11.4m compared to a pre-tax loss of €111.5m the previous year. The hotel group said it has a current pipeline of over 2,000 rooms in prime locations which will see its UK footprint surpass Dublin by 2025. It also recently announced its entry into Continental Europe with an operating leasehold interest in Hotel Nikko in Dusseldorf in Germany.
