Fast food chain German Doner Kebab plans to open 40 outlets across Ireland

AST food chain German Doner Kebab (GDK) plans to open 40 outlets across Ireland starting next year. Claiming roots to an ‘80s Berlin diner, today’s Glasgow-headquartered GDK since 2015 has opened scores of branches across the UK, Sweden and the Gulf states of Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates - but none in its namesake Germany. The the first GDK in Ireland is due to arrive in Dublin by June in an “iconic location” still subject to negotiations, followed by Belfast, then roll out to other cities and large towns.
Domino’s Pizza to add almost 500 jobs as it plans for expansion

Pizza chain Domino’s is set to add almost 500 jobs across Ireland as it pursues its plans for expansion. The company, which has almost 2,000 employees and contract workers at its 85 Irish stores, is looking to recruit for management positions, team members and contract drivers. “Domino’s has opened five new stores in Ireland so far this year, with more planned for 2020,” said Paul Dupuy, Domino’s National Marketing Manager, Ireland.
McDonald's opens two-storey drive-thru in Northern Ireland

The restaurant at Knocknagoney, east Belfast, is the first two-storey fast food restaurant in the country and is now open for business. The two-storey new-build offers a host of “innovations that deliver not only an even quicker service, but an enhanced customer experience". Digital innovation is at the heart of the new restaurant featuring a host of customer facing technology including eight touch screen kiosks allowing customers to browse the menu, order their food and pay by card or contactless.
