Pret A Manger to open in Ireland in 2020

Sandwich chain Pret a Manger is reportedly set to open in Ireland in early 2020. According to The Irish Independent, it is understood that the company has identified two locations in the country, one of which is in Dublin city centre. Pret a Manger currently operates 389 outlets in the UK.

Sprout & Co to open new outlet on Dublin's Dawson Street

Healthy fast food chain Sprout & Co is opening a new 70-seat outlet on Dublin's Dawson Street later this month. The Sprout & Co business, which will be comprised of seven outlets when its new Dawson Street location opens, began in 2015 with a different, smaller outlet on Dawson Street, which has since closed.  According to Sprout co-founder Jack Kirwan, “One of our biggest problems has been almost unlimited demand at peak times, with limited supply. With this store, we would have built it with technology in mind, so a big part of the store will be assigned for click-and-collect, and we will also be putting in an extra production line to service that. Some 25% of our sales are coming in via mobile now, and it was less than 5% two years ago, so there has been a huge shift in the restaurant industry generally”.
