SeptemberFest, Farmleigh, Phoenix Park - 12th & 13th September

Tuesday 8th September Bord Bia, in conjunction with the OPW, is delighted to announce that SeptemberFest, Ireland’s premier independent drinks festival, will return to Farmleigh, Phoenix Park, Dublin on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September. It promises to be a feast of food, drink, music, entertainment and fun for all ages and best of all entry is free!



Now in its second year SeptemberFest 2009 will showcase the very best of independent micro-breweries, cider makers, distillers and liqueur companies. There will be tastes and products on offer from some of Ireland’s most innovative and quirky drinks companies. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet master brewers, distillers and liqueur makers from all over the country and learn more about the production of whiskeys, beers, ciders and ales.


SeptemberFest 2009 will feature: Franciscan Well (Cork); The Porterhouse (Dublin); Carlow Brewing (Carlow); Beoir Corca Dhuibne (Kerry); Messrs Maguire (Dublin); White Gypsy (Tipperary); Galway Hooker (Galway/Roscommon); Hilden Brewery (Antrim); Whitewater Brewery (Down); David Llewellyn’s Double L cider (Lusk, North County Dublin); Cooley Distillery Whiskeys; Bunratty Mead and Coole Swan.


For food and drinks enthusiasts there will be a series of talks taking place during SeptemberFest including demonstrations on the beer production process and home-brewing with tastings by the Irish Craft Brewers. John Cashman from Cooley Distillery will give a talk on Irish whiskey, past and present and there will be cocktail demonstrations from the Bartenders Association of Ireland.


Alongside the drinks on offer, there will be a host of artisan food producers with delicious treats to tempt visitors. The live music stage will host entertainment for all ages and circus performers and street entertainers will also be onsite throughout the weekend.


In addition to the exciting SeptemberFest programme and the Farmleigh Food Market will also take place.


Travelling to September Fest

The shuttle bus service from Park Gate Street, main entrance to the Phoenix Park, leaves on the hour every hour and the last return bus leaves Farmleigh at 6.15pm. If you are travelling from town, please take Dublin Bus: No. 37 from Hawkins St. to the Castleknock gate. Enter the park and take pathway to the right, Farmleigh is 10 minute walk.
