Arthian

Arthian is the Origin Green programme’s third-party verification partner. Following review and approval by Bord Bia, all Origin Green sustainability plans are verified by Arthian for accuracy, robustness and credibility. Approval by Arthian indicates that a company’s Origin Green sustainability plan meets the requirements of the programme. The independent, third-party verification aspect of Origin Green is a vital and central element of the programme.

Office Building

Origin Green Verified Members are required to submit their sustainability plan for annual review. The annual review is designed to report on the progress of the sustainability targets verified members have committed to and outlined in their plan. Following review and approval by Bord Bia, Arthian verifies the updated data provided by the company to ensure the information stated in the plan is accurate, and the company is demonstrating their commitment to the programme and their sustainability initiatives.

Arthian also carry out a number of on-site audits each year, visiting Origin Green companies to verify the updated annual plan, ensuring that the measures outlined have been put into place as described in the plan.

Our verification team is made up of experienced sustainability professionals. We have delivered hundreds of sustainability and environmental projects benefiting the food and drink sector and bring a wealth of experience from Scotland and the wider U.K. as well as Ireland.
