Marketing Assistance Programme (MAP) Grant 2023


Applications for Bord Bia’s 2023 Marketing Assistance Programme (MAP) Grant are now open.

You must now apply online through the My Bord Bia portal. All applicants in 2022 would have signed up and received login details to the portal. If you are a new applicant, please follow the instructions below.

The form will be reviewed by our grants team and if you are eligible an account set up e-mail will be emailed to you with your login details.
Step 3: Apply for your MAP Grant via MyBordBia before January 31st 2023
Step 4: Your application will be reviewed by the grants team in Bord Bia and they will respond to your application with further details. 

About the MAP Grant 2023

Bord Bia’s Marketing Assistance Programme (MAP) Grant helps Irish food, drink and horticulture producers enhance their performance and gain a foothold in new markets by providing financial support for a range of marketing activities.

The grant is open to producers who are client companies of Bord Bia and who have a turnover greater than €100,000 but less than €3.5 million in 2022. In general, the grant supports 60% of expenditure on eligible activities, while verified members of Bord Bia’s Origin Green Programme and certified members of Bord Bia Quality Assurance and Sustainability Schemes are entitled to 70% support. These members will also be prioritised for higher grants.

Examples of activities eligible for the MAP grant include:

  • Participation in trade fairs and exhibitions and related costs
  • Marketing consultancy, focus groups and published reports
  • Marketing training, courses and seminars
  • Design and origination of packaging/labels/POS materials/brochures
  • Website development
  • Quality consultancy, training and audit costs, nutritional analysis
  • Market research visits
  • In-store tastings

*Note to be eligible for the MAP grant companies must be actively participating in the Bord Bia Origin Green Programme, with an up to date annual review as of 31st December 2022.
*The closing date for receipt of applications is Monday January 31st 2023 at 5pm. Late applications will not be accepted.
