The revised timetable is to be as follows:
• 31st January 2024 – introduction of export health certificate requirements.
• 30th April 2024 – introduction of documentary and risk-based identity and physical checks.
The UK government has also published the final Target Operating Model update. Please find a link here.
Bord Bia recognises the effort from the industry already in place to meet these requirements, and encourages Irish companies to continue to prepare for the new dates.
As the new requirements vary by product category – such as a risk-based approach on border requirements and product specific labelling requirements - Bord Bia will host a series of in-person category specific workshops in collaboration with expert supply chain consultancy, PerformanSC. These workshops will take into account the updated target operating model requirements.
These will be held in Wicklow, Kildare, Tipperary and Cork and cover Horticulture, Meat, General Enquiries, Dairy, and Seafood. Please see the details here.
Workshops are subject to availability. If demand is high we will organise more workshops to accommodate this. To register for these workshops, please click here.
