Planned industrial action at Border Control Posts in Northern Ireland
DAFM have been advised that there will be disruption at Border Control Posts (Points of Entry) in Northern Ireland due to a planned 5-day industrial action, week commencing 30th October. DAFM understand that this disruption will likely affect the performance of official controls on consignments coming from GB that are destined for Ireland (via Northern Ireland).
DAFM are advising any traders who import consignments destined for Ireland through a BCP in Northern Ireland to keep in close contact with the NI authorities and consider alternative options of entry during this planned period of disruption.
Please see advisory note here from DAFM for full details.
