Marketing in the Boardroom Workshop
The Brand Forum workshop Marketing in the Board is all about ‘getting the Board on board’. The purpose of this workshop is to help marketers engage more effectively with senior management, such as CEO or cross-functional leaders and teams within the group.
Workshop content:
- The importance of marketing in the Boardroom.
- Engaging the Board, gain their confidence and win their approval.
- Creating and making compelling presentations that are commercial, credible, concise and clear-cut.
- Creating compelling storylines.
- How to better understand the mindset and language of senior managers and win their confidence.
- Involving SLT in the problem solving.
- Negotiating and handling challenging conversations with confidence.
- Ensure that marketing is seen as an ‘investment’ in the business and its future and not a cost centre.
- Doing more with less in cost inflation environment.
- Win the Board’s confidence to take some risks with marketing activity. The willingness to trial marketing, in a small scale to establish if it’s a growth driver.
- Provide evidence of ROI to gauge performance.
Facilitator: Ruth Saunders
Ruth has 25 years of experience in customer, marketing and brand strategy. She has worked with clients in a range of industries to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies that deliver growth. Her work includes streamlining brand portfolios, creating new brands, developing existing brands, segmentation exercises, optimising the customer experience and increasing marketing send effectiveness.
Ruth is a trainer and coach and an author of two books , incl. Marketing in the Boardroom.
