Diners increasingly looking for an Experiental return for their money
At our recent White Paper hybrid event on June 15th, David Henkes of Technomic spoke about the growing polarisation between automated, frictionless foodservice outlets at one end of the spectrum and at the other end, restaurants that can provide consumers with the experience they crave when they go out to eat.
This growing demand for experience-dining is further supported by a recent study undertaken by Yelp. What the study found was that despite record inflation, people are still willing to spend on experience and that “rather than looking at a receipt, diners are increasingly looking at an experience”.
