In 2024, Britvic made significant strides in improving the health profile of its beverage portfolio, achieving a notable reduction in average calories per serving. The company decreased calories from 15.3 per serving in 2023 to 12.72 in 2024, exceeding its milestone target by 20.5%. 

This achievement was largely driven by the commissioning of a new syrup room facility dedicated to the production of the low-calorie Hint of Fruit Ballygowan sub-brand. The new facility enabled Britvic to scale up production efficiently, meeting growing consumer demand for healthier hydration options without compromising on taste or quality.

In parallel, Britvic continued to expand its Aqua Libra range, which includes both tap and aluminium can formats. These low- and no-calorie beverages have become a cornerstone of the company’s health and wellness strategy, offering consumers refreshing alternatives with minimal caloric impact.

Britvic’s work in 2024 shows a clear focus on product innovation and reformulation. By investing in new infrastructure and expanding its low-calorie range, the company is responding to public health goals and changing consumer preferences.
