The farm is shared commonage so Calvey's source lambs from local farming families and build a market for these Mayo Blackface Mountain lambs born and reared in their Achill Island habitat, the sea misted heather hills and mountains of Achill Island and raised solely on a natural diet of herbs, heathers, grasses ,mosses and lichens, then traditionally butchered & bespoke-crafted in Calveys Abbatoir & Butchers, Keel, Achill Island, Co. Mayo.

New ownership in 2017 has transformed Aran Ard Teoranta with a multi-year investment programme across the business: improving/automating operations at their Ardara Bakery in Co. First Ireland Spirits is Ireland's largest independent Cream Liqueur Company which was established in 1993 and is located in Abbeyleix, Co. Laois. It has its own modern purpose built production facility on a seven-acre site just outside the town of Abbeyleix. Selling to thirty-three countries, the company is the largest Irish owned producer of Irish Cream liqueur and Irish Country Cream beverages in the world. First Ireland Spirits also manufactures and supplies an extensive range of other alcohol-based liqueurs and pre-mixed cocktails, selling to over 40 countries around the world. First Ireland Spirits largest markets are the United States and the UK where its product range can be found in major retailers such as Tesco, Walmart and Costco. A heavy investment in R&D, coupled with harnessing and developing its core brand values has given First Ireland Spirits a firm foundation for its business. Today First Ireland Spirits is part of the Quintessential Brands Group - an independent, international drinks company based in the UK. They employ 60 people in Abbeyleix.

Kearney's Home Baking

Established in 1992 by sisters Maura and Siobhan Kearney, Kearney's Home Baking was born out of a shared passion for home baking. Building upon a Diploma undertaken in Bakery Production and Management at the former Dublin Institute of Technology, the sisters worked diligently throughout their studies to carry out comprehensive market research and testing using their mother's recipes. They quickly identified a significant local demand for tasty, traditional products like soda bread, scones and apple tarts. Kinnegar Brewing

Kinnegar Brewing was established in 2013 in Rathmullan, amidst the hilly fields and farms of northeast Donegal. Rapid growth and success made expansion inevitable and in 2017 the brewery relocated to a larger production facility in nearby Letterkenny. Portmagee Distilling and Brewing Company was founded in early 2017 by two brothers John and James Murphy who are from Portmagee, Co. Kerry. Stuart McNamara, international whisk(e)y writer-blogger and editor of The Irish Whiskey Trail and IrishWhiskey.com joined the team in mid-2017 and brings his wealth of Whiskey knowledge to complete the team.

St Patricks Distillery Ltd

We source New Make and Mature Whiskeys from a number of other Irish distilleries, and mature in carefully hand selected oak casks in our bonded warehouse until ready for blending and bottling. This rare flexibility affords us the opportunity to patiently curate, nurture and craft our very own signature whiskeys. All of our whiskeys commence maturation in first fill bourbon barrels, finished in either port, sherry, rum or cognac casks. Vodka and Gins: Our goal is to produce grain free spirits of character, exceptional taste and personality. We have chosen potato as the alcohol base, because of its natural sweetness and its amazing versatility. With just 20% available dry starch matter, this makes the entire process much more expensive, but compensates for the extra time and effort with a unique taste, aroma and smoother mouthfeel. The added bonus of using a potato alcohol base is that it's also naturally gluten free.

Sunshine Juice Ltd

Upon Paul Walshe's return to Ireland from a trip in North America in 1997 he noticed there was ready availability and popularity for freshly squeezed juice, following this Sunshine Juice Ltd was formed in 1998. Paul purchased an industrial juicing machine and has been making juices from his Carlow base since. Today Sunshine Juice now operates out of a 26,000 sq ft facility in Carlow and employs 45 personnel. They produce a range of 100% freshly squeezed juices with no artificial additives or preservatives. Due to their growth their product range has further expanded to smoothies and fruit salads (branded as "Walshes Really Fresh") and their cold-pressed vegetable juice (branded as "Veg Out"). Walshe's Products have won more than 25 great taste awards and 8 Blas na hEireann awards.

Tipperary Boutique Distillery Limited

Situated in the beautiful and bountiful setting of the Golden Vale in Ireland, Tipperary Boutique Distillery was founded in March 2016. Our unique location combined with our knowledge & passion affords us the opportunity to create great whiskey from our own barley, grown on Ballindoney farm in County Tipperary.The founders of Tipperary Boutique Distillery are Jennifer Nickerson, Stuart Nickerson and Liam Ahearn.

West Coast Crab Sales Ltd

Established in 2016 by brothers Jonathan and Patrick O'Donnell, West Coast Crab Sales Ltd is an Irish shellfish supplier specialising in Brown Crab and European Lobster to both domestic and international markets. Over the past 25 years their export markets have included Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. In recent years exports have grown to include Asian countries.

Belview Egg Farm Ltd

Established in 1978 by Dermot & Nicola Herlihy, Belview Egg Farm is located in Termonfeckin, Co Louth. Starting with a mere 5,000 hens, the company is now the fourth largest packer of eggs in Ireland, having 26 laying houses between Louth and Monaghan, which are all certified through the Bord Bia Sustainable Egg Assurance Scheme (SEAS). Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the company recently constructed Ireland's largest free range hen house on a 168-acre site. Belview Eggs' mission is to produce, grade, pack and sell Class A eggs whilst adhering to the highest quality standards.

East Coast Bakehouse

East Coast Bakehouse, established in 2015 by Alison Cowzer and Michael Carey, manufactures biscuits for the domestic and export markets from its factory in Drogheda, Co. Louth. "Baking Better Biscuits", the factory features one of the largest biscuit ovens and the longest single production line in Europe, manufacturing and packing 90,000 biscuits per hour. The company's products are available in 26 countries including the UK, Kenya, Portugal and Australia.

Boann Distillery Limited

Boann Distillery is an independent, family-owned distillery located just outside the historic town of Drogheda, Co. Meath in Ireland's Boyne Valley, with Bru na Boinne, a World Heritage Site, including Newgrange, only 5km away. When the first spirit flowed from the custom copper pot stills in Winter 2019, Boann Distillery reintroduced the art of distillation to Drogheda for the first time in 160 years. Oriel Marine Extracts began life as the Oriel Sea Salt Company in 2010 founded by Brian Fitzpatrick and John Delany. Based in Port Oriel in Clogherheard, Co. Louth, the company harvests a very pure and natural mineral sea salt which is used by many food companies to replace salt due to its lower sodium benefits and powerful taste profile. It also extracts a liquid magnesium and mineral complex used in functional drinks, beverages and food products. In August 2016, the company became the only company in Europe to be granted Protected Designation of Origin status (PDO) by the EU Commission for their products. They are the only company in Europe to hold such recognition for their mineral extract and mineral sea salt. Established in 2010 by John Rogers, Newgrange Gold is ran from the Rogers' family farm overlooking the historic and beautiful Boyne Valley in Co. Meath. John saw an opportunity to create a brand that connected the rich and ancient soils of the Boyne Valley and the high-quality food produced there. The birth of Newgrange Gold came from seeing oilseed rape grown on the Rogers farm leaving in trailers to the local merchant and from there, the seed was sown for the potential business opportunity on their doorstep. Today, Newgrange Gold sells a range of products including rapeseed oil, infused rapeseed oil with garden herbs, chilli & garlic, chilli & lemon, etc. with its products available in stores nationwide.

Killowen Farm

Situated at the foot of the Blackstairs Mountains in Co. Wexford, Killowen Farm has been the Dunne Family home for over 200 years. Owners Nicholas and Judith Dunne took over Ireland's oldest farmhouse yogurt in 2004 and in 2005, moved the yogurt production to their own dairy farm in Courtnacuddy, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford. Killowen Farm's yogurt is proud to use only the finest natural ingredients with many fruit flavours to suit all palates. The company's range of yogurts has nothing added or taken away, it is naturally low in fat and contains natural live cultures.

Kush Seafarms Ltd

Established in 1987, Kush Seafarms is a family-run Irish seafood business based in Kenmare, Co. Kerry on the scenic southwest coast of Ireland. The company grows organic rope mussels in Class A waters in a Special Area of Conservation, in the deep, clear Atlantic waters of Kenmare Bay. Kush Seafarm's success relies on a clean and sustainable aquatic ecosystem. The wild Atlantic waters that shape the rugged Irish coastline meet the Gulf Stream's warm waters and the cold fresh waters flowing from Irish bog lands. This is one of the last remaining ecosystems of this type in Europe.

Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers

Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers is a 100% family-owned business focused primarily on the production of branded blue cheese. The company's cow's milk cheese is branded Cashel Blue, while its sheep's milk cheese is called Crozier Blue.Established in 1984 by Louis and Jane Grubb, the company is now managed by a second family generation, with the original cheese recipe created by Jane. Cashel Blue is a registered international brand. Cheese quality, flavour excellence, and production sustainability are its primary company objectives.All Cashel and Crozier Blue cheese is made, matured, graded and selected at Beechmount Farm, Co. Meade Farm Group

From their family farm in Lobinstown, County Meath, Meade Potato Company have now been growing, packing and distributing premium quality potatoes, fruit, vegetables, salads and organics over the past five decades.Philip Meade Sr. first began selling potatoes in the towns around Meath and Louth in 1977 and soon extended to Irish vegetables, and later, to Irish and other fruit. They were the first company to export Irish potatoes abroad by the boatload, and have since initiated shipments abroad of Irish product whenever export market conditions were suitable.Nestled in the drumlins of the Boyne Valley, the Meade farm and food production facility bears little resemblance to their original family farm. It has grown from a single packing store to include 150,000 sq. feet of packing facilities housing numerous state of the art production lines, with over 500,000sq. ft of loading and distribution space, all of which serve to make the journey from farm to fork as efficient as possible. The next generation of Meades now lead a team of over 240 people.

Folláin

Folláin Teoranta was established in 1983 by Mairín and Peadar Uí Lionáird in partnership with Eithne Uí Shiadhail in the Lionáird's home kitchen. There, they began making what would become award winning preserves using 100% natural ingredients and have been going from strength to strength ever since. Mairín and Peadar still pride themselves on maintaining that homemade quality. Over the years Folláin has increased its range from sweet fruit preserves to include a savoury line of relishes, chutneys, salsas and sauces, innovative no added sugar ranges including jams and marmalades range, as well as no added sugar or salt relish ranges. These developments show a company dynamism and responsiveness to consumer demand whilst maintaining steadfast in its dedication to the use of only natural ingredients.
