Origin Green is Ireland's pioneering food and drink sustainability programme, operating on a national scale, uniting government, the private sector and the full supply chain from farmers to food producers and right through to the foodservice and retail sectors. The programme is the worlds only national food and drink sustainability programme, and enables the industry to set and achieve measurable sustainability targets that respect the environment and serve local communities more effectively.

Keohane Seafoods

Keohane Seafoods, established in 2011, are a well-known family-owned business based in Cork. Building on over 30 years of experience fishing in the Atlantic waters, Michael Keohane and his two sons Colman and Brian built up their seafood production business, selling a vast range of fresh and frozen seafood products which have earned them multiple awards over the past decade.The Keohane family is proud of their strong focus on innovation within the fish and seafood sector, paving the way for innovative packaging since their inception. The business has grown significantly in the past few years, working with local hotels and restaurants as well as select retailers. Additionally, their highest-quality premium products are exported internationally to Europe and the US.

Staunton Foods Ltd

Staunton Foods Ltd was established in 1950 and has been supplying quality pork and bacon products to domestic and export markets for over 50 years. The company, based in Timoleague in Co. Cork, opened a new purpose built factory in 1996, from which it continues to operate. Staunton Foods Ltd is now one of the main pigmeat processors in Ireland, growing from humble origins to become a major employer in west Cork. All of the pigs processed are guaranteed to be of Irish origin, with the majority sourced locally. Staunton Foods Ltd supply a full range of pork and bacon primal products both fresh and frozen to a wide variety of customers. These customers include further processing facilities, wholesalers, the food service industry, manufacturers, and retailers globally.

St Patricks Distillery Ltd

We source New Make and Mature Whiskeys from a number of other Irish distilleries, and mature in carefully hand selected oak casks in our bonded warehouse until ready for blending and bottling. This rare flexibility affords us the opportunity to patiently curate, nurture and craft our very own signature whiskeys. All of our whiskeys commence maturation in first fill bourbon barrels, finished in either port, sherry, rum or cognac casks. Vodka and Gins: Our goal is to produce grain free spirits of character, exceptional taste and personality. We have chosen potato as the alcohol base, because of its natural sweetness and its amazing versatility. With just 20% available dry starch matter, this makes the entire process much more expensive, but compensates for the extra time and effort with a unique taste, aroma and smoother mouthfeel. The added bonus of using a potato alcohol base is that it's also naturally gluten free.

In becoming a member of Origin Green, Tesco has set out a sustainability plan that targets key operational, sourcing, health and nutrition and social responsibility targets. In committing to the Origin Green sustainability charter the structure provides meaningful goals which are independently verified on an ongoing basis.

Boann Distillery Limited

Boann Distillery is an independent, family-owned distillery located just outside the historic town of Drogheda, Co. Meath in Ireland's Boyne Valley, with Bru na Boinne, a World Heritage Site, including Newgrange, only 5km away. When the first spirit flowed from the custom copper pot stills in Winter 2019, Boann Distillery reintroduced the art of distillation to Drogheda for the first time in 160 years. At Boann Distillery traditional brewing and distilling methods are combined with modern technology to produce the most unique single pot still spirit. As a food manufacturer, Blenders creates world class sauces with great taste and high convenience for their customer's needs. Founded more than 30 years ago, the family-run business has grown to be a key sauce manufacturer in Ireland and built a dedicated, experienced, and loyal team around them.Built on the values of respect, growth, delivering value, and doing things the one best way, Blenders aim to deliver their extensive product ranges of over 100 product lines to chefs and caterers as well as households throughout Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Now, their sauces come in many different shapes and sizes, to cater for all the needs of their diverse customer base.

Kush Seafarms Ltd

Established in 1987, Kush Seafarms is a family-run Irish seafood business based in Kenmare, Co. Kerry on the scenic southwest coast of Ireland. The company grows organic rope mussels in Class A waters in a Special Area of Conservation, in the deep, clear Atlantic waters of Kenmare Bay. Kush Seafarm's success relies on a clean and sustainable aquatic ecosystem. The wild Atlantic waters that shape the rugged Irish coastline meet the Gulf Stream's warm waters and the cold fresh waters flowing from Irish bog lands. This is one of the last remaining ecosystems of this type in Europe.
